- Greet customers at the door and be positive, ensuring a great first impression at all times.
- Bid a fond farewell to ensure a positive lasting impression
- Manage the cloakroom in a tidy and efficient manner
- Organise the floor and seat guests where possible.
- Communicate clearly and proactively, passing on wait times to guests.
- Work with the waiting team and allocate guests their tables fairly.
- Set up and close down the host area according to JOCS standards.
- Learn all about the fresh ingredients, specials and cooking methods in order to explain them to our guests fabulously.
- Learn the food and drinks menus and retain a good knowledge of it.
- Work closely with all other departments within the restaurant team
- Answer the phone in a polite and timely manner, take and manage reservations through our booking platform and communicate any relevant information to the reservations manager and to the rest of the management team.
- Hear some amazing stories from our suppliers and relay their ethos and passion to our guests
- Maintain the Health and Safety and Jamie’s standards.
- Remain calm – our restaurants get busy.
