Hours per Week: 14Are you passionate about high-quality teaching and learning in undergraduate medical education? Would you be interested in an opportunity to contribute and influence the strategic development of hospital-based education across Kent and Medway? If so, this may be an opportunity for you!As Senior Lecturer and Module Lead in Yr3 you can expect to be involved in:
  • Contributing to and influencing the development of hospital-based learning across all placement providers in Yr3, ensuring that the programme satisfies GMC requirements for a Primary Medical Qualification
  • Engage with placement providers to ensure consistency in the quality of Year 3 teaching, including collecting & evaluating feedback from students and placement providers, as well as assessment data.
  • Continuously seek improvements by reflecting on teaching design and delivery methods and analysing feedback to enhance educational performance.
  • Contributing to and influencing preparations for effective internal and external academic quality and governance processes and systems, including those associated with professional, statutory, and regulatory bodies
What will you bring to the role?
  • A primary medical qualification and full registration with the GMC, with a current licence to practise
  • In current NHS clinical practice and commitment to remain in clinical practice for the duration of the KMMS contract
  • Fellowship/Membership of an appropriate Royal College
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register with a Certificate of Completion of training (CCT) or equivalent
  • Experience of successful curriculum design, implementation and evaluation in medical education
  • Experience and understanding of improving educational delivery across a diverse group of placement providers
  • Understanding of current issues in undergraduate medical education
  • Experience of and commitment to academic leadership and management
