
Actuarial Manager

- Carry out actuarial reserving across our household account and make recommendations to the Chief Actuary and wider business.
- Immerse yourself within the business to understand the drivers and uncertainties behind claims emergence.
- By producing practical an engaging insight, explain to our colleagues across Pricing, Finance and Claims the reasons behind changes in ultimate selections, observed movements in development and uncertainties in results.
- Present results of selected reserve reviews at formal reserve committees.
- Produce results to feed into the company's financial reporting process.
- Investigate and implement improvements to analysis and processes to drive fuller insight and improving levels of accuracy.
- Use our new, forward thinking tech platform to improve efficiency, processes and insight.
- Coach, mentor and develop our Actuarial Analysts. Knowledge sharing will play a big part of this role and drive that culture of continuous learning.
- An experienced Actuarial Manager with UK Personal Lines reserving experience.
- A data driven individual who is keen to share knowledge around their expertise to the wider business but also to an Actuarial function.
- Actuarial Qualification (IFoA or equivalent).
- Experience with IFRS17 reporting is highly advantageous.
- Any experience working with or in an environment such as AI, Machine Learning, Python is a nice to have but not essential.

- 1st stage interview: 1 hour with our Chief Actuary
- 2nd stage: 2x 30 minute interviews with our Chief Finance Officer and another one of our Actuarial Managers
