- Video editing: Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. This includes selecting the best shots, integrating sound, and ensuring a cohesive narrative flow.
- Motion graphics: Design and incorporate motion graphics elements to enhance video content, using tools like Adobe After Effects. Create engaging visuals that align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
- Videography support: Assist in planning and executing video shoots, including setting up equipment, lighting, and capturing high-quality footage. Collaborate with the production team to ensure visual consistency and storytelling effectiveness.
- Content adaptation: Modify and repurpose video content for various platforms, ensuring optimal formatting and engagement across social media channels, websites, and other digital outlets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the other team members, including graphic designers and journalists, to develop concepts and execute video projects from inception to completion.
- Full proficiency in English
- Right to work in UK with no sponsorship required in the future
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing a range of projects.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects. Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
- Videography knowledge: Basic understanding of camera operation, lighting setups, and audio recording. Experience in shooting video content is advantageous.
- Storytelling ability: Strong sense of narrative structure and pacing, with the ability to craft compelling stories through visual media.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to editing, ensuring high-quality output with a focus on continuity, colour grading, and sound design.
- Time management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
- News & Scriptwriting: A background in journalism or news, with strong skills in research and scriptwriting for digital video.
- Animation: Experience with 2D/3D animation techniques and software.
- Live streaming: Familiarity with live streaming setups and software.
- Social media trends: Understanding of current trends in digital media and how to create content that resonates with online audiences.
- Audio editing: Skills in audio mixing and sound design to enhance video content.
