With a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional opportunities, it prioritises building relationships, promoting independence, and fostering engagement through joyful learning experiences.About the Role:As a Disability Support Worker, you will work closely with teaching staff to assist students with disabilities across the curriculum and in school life. You will provide one-to-one or small group support, help adapt learning activities, and ensure the students’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met.Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with disabilities.
- Assist teachers in adapting learning resources and classroom activities.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Aid with personal care and mobility support where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and self-esteem in students.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teaching staff.
- Support students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Experience working with children or young people with disabilities.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent (desirable).
- A degree in Psychology, SEN, Counselling or a similar field is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and proactive approach to support.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
