Vehicle Technician required in Weston-super-Mare.
  • Starting salary up to £38,000 per annum pending qualifications/experience.
  • Optional overtime availability paid at an enhanced rate.
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:30pm and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings paid as overtime.
Our client, the largest independent used car dealer group in the South West region, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their busy dealership in Weston-super-Mare.Working as part of a team and reporting to the Head of Aftersales, as a Vehicle Technician, you will help our client with all mechanical faults, fixes and diagnostics their customers need to keep them safely on the road.Responsibilities will include:
  • Performing diagnostic testing to identify faults.
  • Carrying out servicing and repairs on a variety of car makes and models.
  • Maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
  • MOT testing (if appropriate to role).
  • Working with Service Advisors to relay information to the customer and get problems resolved.
  • Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ensuring pre-delivery inspections are completed.
  • Following assignments through to completion, meeting deadlines and delivering on promises.
To be eligible, you shall need to be qualified to at least an IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and ideally have at least one to two years practical experience as a Vehicle Technician, as well as your own set of tools. You will also need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy but professional workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.What's in it for you?
