And it's why we're the UK's No. 1 choice for business waste management.Help us make a difference as a Mobile Plant Operative based from our Wembley Transfer Station in the area of London.A quick look at the role.The Mobile Plant Operative will maintain and operate a mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner while working in a busy landfill operation. This will be both unsupervised and under instruction by the site supervisor or management team.Why it's an opportunity not to be waste
  • Maintaining the site to ensure the smooth running of the waste infilling operations, including void availability, road maintenance and compliance with the tip management plan.
  • Following the site traffic management plan to ensure pedestrian and vehicular segregation is maintained on site.
  • Reporting any Health and Safety matters and environmental compliance issues to the site supervisor/manager. Including, but not limited to -
  • Dust Control by ensuring road and tip face are regularly dampened down by plant or fixed systems.
  • Control of mud on site and peripheral roads.
  • Pest control including birds, flies and rodents.
  • Odour control by ensuring control systems on site are working and effective waste management operations at the tipping area.
  • Litter control by usage of fixed and mobile litter netting and screens.
  • Reporting any damaged infrastructure which may cause environmental pollution e.g. gas wells.
  • Ensuring that site mobile plant is maintained and report defects to ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Completing and maintaining CPCS or equivalent standard training to operate landfill plant.
  • Keeping the plant clean at all times and carrying out any manual handling as required.
Requirements:Here's what we require:
  • CPCS or equivalent mobile plant training certification
  • Licensed to drive 360 Grab-Experience of elevated cab work
  • Other plant tickets would be helpful.
  • Relevant experience in waste or environmental capacity
  • Full car driving licence
  • Plant related activities
  • Ability to carry out essential daily maintenance of site plant.
  • Licensed to Drive a Loading Shovel.
