Job descriptionHLTA – South Manchester:Join a welcoming, single-form entry primary school community in the South Manchester area as a HLTA. The school prides itself on offering a nurturing environment with a strong commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and staff development. They are looking for a dedicated HLTA to join our enthusiastic team from September.Please note that ECTs are welcome to apply for this role.The Role:As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will:
  • Deliver high-quality support to teachers and students across various classes
  • Plan and deliver lessons to small groups or whole classes under the supervision of the class teacher
  • Support pupils with varying needs across all year groups, including SEN
  • Create a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Work closely with staff to enhance pupil’s educational experiences
Position Details:
  • Position: HLTA
  • Location: South Manchester
  • Type of Work: Temp
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £130 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Sept 2025
  • End date: Ongoing, Long-Term
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
  • A valid HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience supporting EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Excellent communication, behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A proactive, flexible and nurturing approach to learning support
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
