- Develop and implement strategies to direct operational efficiency and commercial growth
- Identify opportunities for synergies between operations and commercial functions to maximise performance and profitability
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, driving efficiency quality and improved productivity
- Optimise operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance productivity
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand the organisation's customer base and revenue streams
- Provide strong leadership and direction across the organisation
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across departments
- Set clear goals and performance metrics for team members and provide regular feedback and coaching
- Work closely with the business services team to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
- Develop and manage budgets for operational activities ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Monitor financial performance against targets and take corrective actions as needed to achieve desired outcomes
- Implement robust internal controls and compliance procedures to ensure regulatory and contractual obligations are met
- Provide leadership support to the MD and service lines and be prepared to step in as required.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, with a strong understanding of operations management principles and practices
- Proven track record of identifying inefficiencies, implementing data-driven solutions, and achieving measurable improvements in project outcomes and client satisfaction
- Strong commercial outlook & proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
- Knowledge of the water and waste recycling sector, including service offerings, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent strategic planning and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations and develop effective solutions
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading, inspiring & motivating teams to achieve goals and objectives
- Demonstrable proven ability to successfully manage the implementation of services/solutions and demonstrate delivery and achievement
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and financial acumen and be able to develop this in others
- A high degree of reliability and integrity with an open mindset, to enable management of demands arising through organisational growth and embrace change and challenge.
