  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
  • Friday: 07:30 - 11:30
Pay Rates (PAYE)First 12 Weeks:
  • Basic Rate: £18.09/hr (£20.72/hr including holiday pay)
  • Overtime: £27.13/hr (£31.07/hr including holiday pay)
  • Sundays: £36.17/hr (£41.43/hr including holiday pay)
After 12 Weeks:
  • Basic Rate: £18.64/hr (£21.35/hr including holiday pay)
  • Overtime: £27.95/hr (£32.02/hr including holiday pay)
  • Sundays: £37.27/hr (£42.69/hr including holiday pay)
Role OverviewWe are seeking two experienced Welder Fabricators with Fitting experience to join the Gimbals production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end manufacture of bellows and gimbal assemblies, transforming raw materials into high-specification aerospace components.Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture of bellows and gimbal assemblies from raw material to final product
  • Use of hand tools and precision equipment
  • TIG welding, brazing, seam welding, and aluminium welding
  • Lathe turning (standard and integrals)
  • Assembly of RR units and gimbals
  • Resistance and Electron Beam Welding
  • Conducting tests, including NDT and X-ray inspections
  • Working to tight tolerances and interpreting technical drawings and SOPs
  • Quality assurance of products within declared capability
  • Participation in lean manufacturing (5S) and 8D problem-solving activities
  • Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in TIG welding and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Production Acceptance Test (PAT) requirements
  • Hands-on experience with aerospace manufacturing standards
  • Detail-oriented, capable of working to precise tolerances
  • Eligibility to obtain and use a company "stamp" to certify completed work
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement
  • Preferred Experience
  • Background in aerospace or similar high-precision industries
  • Familiarity with SOP-driven production environments
  • Exposure to quality systems and audit requirements
