The successful candidate will help guide Year 5 pupils as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire and challenge learners. You’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team with a shared focus on high standards and inclusive teaching.Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons for Year 5 pupils, following the National Curriculum and incorporating a variety of teaching styles and resources to meet diverse learning needs.Use formative and summative assessments to track pupil progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to both students and parents.Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour, engagement, and well-being.Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leaders to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to curriculum delivery and student support.Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and development.Actively contribute to school life by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development opportunities.Person Specification:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.A strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and experience in delivering engaging and creative lessons.Proven ability to assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and focused learning environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.A passion for teaching and a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact within a welcoming and forward-looking school.
