Vision for Education is seeking an experienced and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, providing individualised support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Reception, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with children who may have a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language delays, or SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) challenges. You will be responsible for helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.Key responsibilities:Delivering consistent 1:1 support tailored to the needs of individual pupilsSupporting academic, emotional, and behavioural development in class and during unstructured timesImplementing personalised learning strategies and behaviour support plansCollaborating with class teachers, the SENCO, and external specialistsTracking and recording pupil progress against individual targetsAdapting support as needed across different age groups and learning stylesThe ideal candidate will:
✅ Have previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school or similar setting
✅ Be confident supporting pupils across Reception through to Year 6
✅ Be calm, nurturing, and resilient with a positive, proactive approach
