Our teams will deliver the right result for every budget, project performance criteria and aesthetic desire.We're looking to employ a motivated enthusiastic SHEQ Advisor working to join our small but fast paced SHEQ Team.About the Role:The SHEQ Advisor is responsible for providing advice and support to the Group on Safety, Health, Environment and Quality. The SHEQ advisor is responsible for ensuring SHEQ compliance across Everlast Group sites through inspections, audits, incident investigations, and reporting, while supporting policy implementation, training development, supplier approvals, and management of integrated systems and external audits.This is a hybrid role, working across the UK. Travel and flexibility is required.Responsibilities:
  • Carry out regular inspections across Everlast Group sites nationwide to ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation and company policies.
  • Carry out regular internal audits of management system processes.
  • Record and investigate incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.
  • Support the SHEQ Team with implementation of policies and processes to ensure compliance across the organisation.
  • Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards.
  • Obtain and analyse site audit findings and report key trends to the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Assist the group in maintaining and managing the integrated management system.
  • Assist in the development of SHEQ Communications and training content as required.
  • Assisting with approval of new suppliers.
  • Assist in the management of external audit requirements.
  • Advise on all SHEQ related documentation
  • Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
  • Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and occupational diseases etc.
  • Any other duties as identified by management
  • Assist the Health & Safety Manager develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees and any other briefing material.
Essential Experience/Qualifications:
  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • Minimum of NEBOSH Certificate, ideally in Construction or equivalent Level 3 qualification
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Personal work planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as the initiative to work sufficiently alone
  • Sensitivity and understanding, particularly with confidential information
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic learner
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working within the construction industry
  • Full UK Driver's Licence
  • Internal Auditor
Desirable Experience/Qualifications, knowledge & Skills
  • PTS trained
  • CSCS Card
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Experience of carrying out site inspections.
