Degree Level: Degree with HonoursJob Description:Bank Hand Therapist |Hartswood Hospital, Brentwood | Ad hoc shiftsSpire Hartswood Hospital is recruiting for a Hand Therapist to join the bank and provide exemplary planned care for patients. Are you looking for part-time hours to supplement your work week? You will be required to run a day/evening clinic based in outpatients, treating post operative and non-surgical caseload.Spire Hartswood Hospital is a 49 bed hospital with 4 theatres and offers a comprehensive range of services and facilities. To take the lead role in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/ Hand and Wrist patients.
Provide specialist education and teaching.
To contribute towards departmental research and audit in this clinical area.
To ensure the teams deliver effective care to clients, presenting with musculoskeletal injuries by providing excellent clinical and organisational leadership.
To act as a Specialist Hand Therapist resource for the multi-disciplinary team within Spire Healthcare.
To promote and assist in marketing of service developments to GP's, Consultants and external agencies.
To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice.

Who we're looking for:

Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapist) or equivalent
Post-Graduate learning in musculoskeletal programme
Post graduate experience in Hand Therapy
Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied caseloads
Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for new services
Competence across a range of Hand Therapy, management and leadership skills supported by highly skilled professional and specialist knowledge in the field of MSK
