Job Description:Seasonal Senior Domestic Assistant/Senior CleanerUE02 £21,900 Per Annum, Pro rata, £12.00 per hour plus 5% premium payment to reflect flexible working. (A revised salary range for this grade of £21,978 to £22,134 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024).CSG / Accommodation, Catering and Events.Fixed Term Contract - 30-35 hours per week available (Per week on a 5 over 7 contracts including weekends varied shift patterns from 8am - 6pm) - May - September 2024.14 positionsThe Opportunity:During the summer period, Pollock Halls of Residence accommodates visitors from all around the world. We are looking for positive, upbeat people to help our busy housekeeping team where you will provide a flexible customer focused service across our accommodation, you will be key in ensuring we are delivering excellent standards of cleaning and customer care for all our visitors and guests.As a Seasonal Senior Domestic Assistant/Senior Cleaner, you will be involved in distributing work to our teams of domestic cleaning assistants, checking that our accommodation and facilities meet our high standards of cleanliness as well as ensuring that our customers' needs are met, and guests alway enjoy a comfortable stay. You will also play a fundamental role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met by servicing bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and public areas within your remit.You should have excellent organisational skills and have previous experience in either housekeeping or hospitality. You should have a good eye for detail and a passion for providing an excellent standard of service. You will have outstanding customer service skills and ability to communicate with wide range of colleagues and customers in an effective and professional manner. You will also have experience of allocation of workload to team members and ideally, supervisory skills, although this is not essential.Please be aware that these posts will require you to work weekends for the duration of your contract on a rota basisYou must be able to commit to the entire period of employment.Your skills and attributes for success:
