
Trainee Sample Maker/Structural Designer

- To cover day to day running of the sample room.
- The position will cover various duties and responsibilities, to feature sample making, ordering prints, cutting, finishing and assembly and final photography of unprinted and printed full colour prototypes; of various complexity for clients/production approval.
- Learning to identify issues with the design and print.
- Building relationships with the design team and production.
- The candidate who also be responsible for the cleaning and maintaining of the sample room, also keeping the materials fully stocked.
- Ordering Prints, Checking Colour Consistency and Matching to Pantone Colours Cutting and assembling prototypes.
- Photographing for Client approval & Assembly guides.
- To build good relations not only in the team, but across all departments.
- Follow day to day instructions given out by your Line Manager Develop, understand, and follow company procedures, and have an understanding of the procedures throughout the rest of the organisation.
- General day to day support to the rest of the team.
- Meeting agreed deadlines.
- Always ensure a clean and tidy work environment.
- Ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standard.
- Work to understand the materials in the Sample Room Work to assist the designers.
- Liaising across various departments, including shipping and transport.
