- To contribute to the operational duties of the ultrasound departments services across West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Trust. Including maternity, general, inpatients and acute referrals.
- To be an effective member of the Ultrasound team, promoting the trust values through our workforce.
- Provide a high standard of Sonographer/ultrasound services to radiologists and patients.
- Complete ultrasound examinations to a high standard.
- Supervision of junior staff, international recruits and students through induction and training programmes.
- DMU or PgD in Ultrasound or PgC/PgD in: oa chosen clinical speciality. oadvanced practice skills of reporting. oadvanced communication. oextended pathophysiology
- HCPC registered.
- MSc, or working towards one.
- Complex knowledge of pathologies.
- Detailed knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Actively participates in CPD relevant to professional needs.
- Proficient NHS ultrasound experience in Obstetrics, gynaecology or general medical ultrasound.
- Previously worked at Practitioner Sonographer level.
- Sub-specialism skills and competencies.
