Apply via EmailA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a well-established and nationally critical operation based in Winsford, Cheshire.This is a challenging and rewarding position working in a heavy industrial environment, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across a broad range of plant and equipment. You'll be part of a highly skilled maintenance team ensuring the safety, efficiency and legal compliance of all electrical systems.Shift Pattern (Rotating):
  • 3 weeks: Mon-Fri (6:00am-2:00pm)
  • 2 weeks: Mon-Thurs (1:00pm-9:00pm), Fri (9:30am-5:30pm)
  • 1 week: Mon-Thurs (8:00pm-6:00am)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled electrical maintenance and statutory inspections
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repairs
  • Perform electrical installation and modification work
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of industrial equipment including conveyors, crushers, motors and control systems
  • Support shaft and surface operations as required
  • Carry out multi-skilled tasks (e.g. rigging, burning, welding) when needed
  • Ensure all work is performed in line with Health & Safety standards and company procedures
Key Requirements:
  • Time-served Electrical Technician with relevant apprenticeship
  • Proven experience in heavy industry maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of 415V+ electrical systems
  • Confident in fault finding on electrical control systems
  • Familiar with instrumentation and test equipment
  • PLC and High Voltage (HV) experience desirable (training available)
  • Good IT skills and strong communication abilities
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and support team cover when needed
