We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.This is a full time (40) permanent post which will be worked over Monday to Friday.Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist providing 10 sessions for East Renfrewshire CAMHS as part of the South of Glasgow - East Renfrewshire psychiatry hub. We would also welcome and consider applications from candidates looking to work less that full time.The post holder will work in a community multi-disciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based in Barrhead Health Centre, 213 Main Street, Barrhead G78 -1SA.Based close to the dynamic city of Glasgow you will provide psychiatric support and leadership, supported by 2 other Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist from the South Glasgow CAMHS team to the community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service team covering East Renfrewshire. The East Renfrewshire Team has full multi-disciplinary staffing complement and the psychiatrist will be based in Barrhead Health Centre which serves a diverse socio-economic population of approx, 23,000 (0-19) in one of the most affluent area of Scotland. The East Renfrewshire CAMHS team is one of a network of 8 locality based tier 3 CAMHS teams who work in conjunction with a number of specialist tier 4 CAMHS team across NHSGGC.CAMHS in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is a dynamic, innovative service providing outpatient and inpatient care to children young people and families with mental health disorders across a large and diverse health board area. CAMHS in East Renfrewshire looks after a diverse community of families in the local area the service is keen to have a diverse workforce.Applicants must have full GMC registration and a licence to practice, those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview.
