This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.We are looking to recruit an experienced accountant who has worked on finance system transformation projects and can support the finance work stream with a range of activities across the University’s Corporate, Processes and Systems (CPS) Programme. They will build effective relationships at a senior level, demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement, have strong project management skills and can demonstrate an ability to successfully deliver projects and change.Their portfolio will be varied and will change based on priorities at the time, which will allow the individual to be involved in a variety of interesting and challenging pieces of work, providing an opportunity to build excellent experience.The role holder will actively contribute to the completion of design of our system/process solutions and implementation of requirements; and may include multiple finance workstreams including for example; Quote to Cash, Acquire to Retire, Transact to Record, Record to Report, Project to Result.Much of the work is expected to focus on project delivery and finance business partnering but they could also be involved in a variety of work across Financial Services (FS), Management Accounting (MA) and Faculty and Services finance teams.Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation they will; provide support and guidance; gather information to aid informed decision making; lead activity to positively influence engagement, understanding and communication; influence to achieve desired outcomes; challenge the status quo; provide insight, understanding and expertise; and take ownership of deliverables and projects. The role will also include working with SMEs on Testing Plans and performing tests before go live. There will also be a requirement to work with university staff to ensure business readiness.What we offer in return
