- Lead a PMO team to ensure the successful and consistent delivery of PMO services within IPM and to our front-line delivery teams
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance, governance and assurance compliance. This to include management of PMO mailbox.
- Lead the continuous improvement of PMO Handbook for Capital Investment Programme documentation and procedures by ensuring content of current and accurate information in-line with IPM Frameworks and industry best practices
- Manage ownership of the Gateway processes with necessary information to our external auditor and Ofwat
- Facilitate and manage our Totex Governance and Totex Committee meetings and procedures, including management of sufficient time for IPM team to review papers for quality and necessary approvals.
- Manage and set governance agenda, assist Head of IPM in running the meetings, issuing minutes and ensuring prompt actions completion of all approved totex budgets and change requests.
- Manage governance compliant documentation submission, considering IPM Frameworks
- Chair, monitor and review Monthly Budget Review considering cost, assurance, compliance, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) with IPM leads. Establish and manage actions for delivery teams to ensure budget review readiness ahead of collaboration with Finance team.
- Providing monthly analysis and insightful updates on Capital Programme budgets to the Head of IPM highlighting associated delivery risks and how these are being controlled.
- A strong level of experience of project management office within water industry.
- Water industry and business knowledge with prior involvement in similar role within a regulated infrastructure environment.
- Familiar with Project costs, Change Control, Reporting, Risk & Opportunities and Planning.
- Experienced in building positive and productive relationships and making links with stakeholders within business.
- Be self-motivated and proactive in tracking a range of different tasks and projects, anticipating risks and issues.
- Demonstrate your capability with risk-based and analytical decision-making.
- Ideally Degree qualified in engineering, Project Management (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Desired
- Ideally hold or be willing to work towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent. Desirable
- Familiar with Oracle Fusion Software (Financial General Ledger System) Desirable
