Job Title: Workshop Forklift Engineer
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week + Overtime
Shift Pattern: Day Shift – No Weekend WorkJoin a Leading Forklift Engineering Team! We are currently seeking a Workshop Forklift Engineer to join our client’s well-established and expanding team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with mechanical experience to move into a secure, workshop-based role with regular hours and a supportive environment.Workshop Forklift Engineer – Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine service and maintenance of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Conducting LOLER inspections and ensuring compliance
  • Preparing equipment for hire or customer use to high safety standards
  • Keeping accurate service records and job documentation

Desired Experience & Qualifications:
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Forklift, Plant, HGV, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience working with forklifts, MHE, or similar mechanical equipment
  • Good knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and diesel systems
  • LOLER certification desirable (not essential)
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
