Salary: Pay to scaleAbout the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Wakefield. - Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND and EAL
- Use data to track student progress and plan effective interventions
- Support students in preparing for GCSE science exams (AQA/OCR/Edexcel – depending on school)
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all learners thrive
- Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive science department
- Participate in CPD and contribute to whole-school initiatives
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in a science-related subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Experience teaching science at KS3 and KS4 (NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for science education and student progress
- Strong organisational skills and willingness to contribute to wider school life
- A welcoming and supportive staff team and leadership
