Description:Maternity cover Phlebotomist - May consider HCAStarting October 202525 hours per week - 8.00am - 1.00pm, Monday to FridayFixed term post of 1 year from start dateLADYWELL MEDICAL CENTRE - An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Phlebotomist / HCA to join the Nursing team at Ladywell Medical Centre. Ladywell Medical Centre is made up of Ladywell Medical Centre West and Ladywell Medical Centre East, is based in Corstorphine, Edinburgh, and covers a total population of around 22,000 patients. Your role will involve working with both Practices from the same location.Your primary role will be to collect blood samples by venepuncture and coaguchek machine on the adult patient population, working alongside our existing Treatment Room Team and Practice Nurses as well as the GPs and wider multi-disciplinary team. If you are an HCA applying for this post, please detail your skill level when applying. This position is primarily for maternity phlebotomy cover.You will have excellent clinical, communication and time management skills. You will be comfortable and effective working autonomously as well as part of a team. We are looking for someone with a flexible manner and a willingness to deliver a high standard of care to our patients.Previous experience working in a general practice setting is preferred, however, applications from other nursing sectors are welcomed if transferable skills can be demonstrated. We will provide training in a supportive environment.
