Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a creative and organised Head Chef who can manage a busy kitchen and inspire a team. The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably within an education or high-volume catering setting.
  • A strong understanding of nutritional requirements for children and young people, and the ability to cater for various dietary needs (allergies, intolerances, cultural/religious requirements).
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Relevant professional catering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery, Diploma in Culinary Arts).
  • Up-to-date Food Hygiene and Safety certifications (e.g., Level 3 Supervising Food Safety).

  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Thorough knowledge and strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations (HACCP principles).Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with school management, staff, suppliers, and students.
  • Menu Planning & Innovation: Creativity in developing diverse, seasonal, and appealing menus that meet dietary requirements and student preferences.
