Due to company growth, they are now looking for an experienced packaging technologist to join the team. This company has a supportive and collaborative culture, and pride themselves on internal development and progression. This role would suit creative candidates with 2+ years' experience in packaging innovation, sustainable packaging and packaging trends, packaging development, and packaging briefs within the personal care / skincare / hair care and cosmetics industry.Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40hours a week, 33 days holiday, flexible start and finish timesRole / Description
- Collaborate closely with R&D/Formulation, operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure packaging solutions are ready for production.
- Explore and showcase cutting-edge packaging formats and materials that match with current beauty trends
- Manage a dynamic packaging innovation library, leading client presentations to highlight new innovative ideas
- Partner with clients and internal teams to turn creative briefs into practical and innovative packaging solutions
- Assess packaging concepts for compatibility with formulations, user experience, and production feasibility
- Champion sustainable packaging by leveraging knowledge of recyclable materials and refillable systems and waste streams
- Work with procurement and sourcing teams to identify and recommend top-notch suppliers.
- Keep detailed technical documentation and packaging specifications for project traceability and compliance.
- 2+ years recent experience in packaging development within the personal care / skincare / hair care and cosmetics industry.
- IOM3 Diploma (or equivalent)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
