Tile House Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist/care navigator to join our team for 24 hours per week. This will be worked over 4 days, 6-hour shifts with a mix of 7.30am-1.30pm and 1pm-7pm. Exact working days can be discussed at interview - no weekend working.The receptionist/care navigator plays a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone.General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.Main duties of the job
  • Greeting and directing all patients.
  • Booking, cancelling and moving patientappointments.
  • Handing out letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
  • Dealing with requests for information.
  • Advising patients of Practice procedures.
  • Registering new patients.
  • Answering the telephone promptly.
  • Assisting GPs with their requests.
  • Referring patients to localdomiciliaryservices.
  • Dealing with incoming emails as per practice procedure.
