- Work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including autism (ranging from low to high support), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and speech and language communication differences
- Support children and young people who may be at risk of exclusion, disengagement from education, or future involvement with the youth justice system
- Use neurodiversity-informed practices to help reduce anxiety, build structure and routine, and develop communication and emotional regulation skills
- Encourage emotional resilience, self-awareness, and positive peer relationships
- Be a consistent, trusted adult within a trauma-informed school setting
- Youth Justice or Probation Services
- Educational or Behavioural Psychology
- Social Work or Family Support Services
- Prison, Court, or Community Rehabilitation Work
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support for learners with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and autistic spectrum conditions
- Implement tailored behaviour and sensory regulation strategies, considering individual neurocognitive profiles
- Contribute to personalised learning plans that address emotional and educational development
- Support the development of pupils’ executive functioning, social communication, and life skills
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to track progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Receive full training in relational behaviour support and de-escalation strategies
- Graduates in Criminology, Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Aspiring professionals in social justice, youth support, safeguarding, or rehabilitation
- Empathetic, non-judgemental communicators with a keen interest in inclusion and neurodiversity
- Open-minded individuals willing to learn about autistic identity, sensory needs, and non-verbal communication
- Prior experience in education, care, or youth settings is welcomed but not essential
- A positive, adaptable, and resilient mindset
