Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Band: 6
Location: Truro, Cornwall
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon applicationWe are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our NHS client in Truro, Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful coastal region while delivering high-quality care across community and/or acute settings.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to adults with a range of physical, cognitive, and functional needs.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and independence.
  • Contribute to discharge planning, rehabilitation, and reablement services.
  • Support service users in achieving their goals through personalised care plans and evidence-based practice.
  • Supervise junior staff and students, and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working in acute or community settings at Band 6 level (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable for community roles)
