Commercial Manager – Aggregates

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
- To manage and develop all the commercial elements of the multiple site Quarries business.
- Identify develop & maintain key accounts including new business opportunities.
- Responsible for all quotations, tenders, pricing and customer service.
- Monitor haulage contractor’s performance via KPls and ensure competitiveness.
- Liaise with site staff on major civil engineering schemes, to ensure production matches product program requirements on site.
- Arrange product compliance testing.
- Work alongside Credit Control to manage credit limits, invoices and purchase orders.
- Other duties as specified in the job specification (available at request).
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Relevant finance / commercial qualification such as CIPS / RICS or appropriate NEC / JCT training
The Commercial Manager role would suit someone who has:
- Existing experience within the Quarrying / Aggregate sector
- At least five years experience working in a Sales or Commercial Management position or similar
- Worked with inert waste acceptance would be highly desirable
- Industry competitive salary up to £55,00 (DOE)
