
Senior CAD Technician

- Collate information from a variety of sources to produce high-quality detailed technical drawings and information to support and ensure accurate construction on site.
- Preparation of different type of drawings using AutoCAD software including layouts, site logistics, detailed sections, typical details and construction specific sketches.
- Managing revisions, numbering, contractual status and accuracy of the information in drawings.
- Ensuring drawings information and documents meet company's CAD standards/quality level and specific project requirements.
- Work closely with other team members to support their function in the Design, Operations and Estimating teams.
- Ensure the Company's core values are embedded in all decisions made and shape your behaviour.
- Proven Strong proficiency in AutoCAD software 2D and 3D.
- Revit basic knowledge.
- Bentley Microstation/Aecosim basic knowledge.
- Ability to adapt to new BIM/engineering software and any CDE
- Attention to detail, precision and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong technical and math skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Familiarity with relevant BIM codes, Standards and good practices.
- Excellent computer skills/I.T. literate
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, both internally and externally
- Ability to work alone using own initiative, or as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet agreed deadlines.
- Self-motivated and commercially aware
- Problem solving, 'can do' attitude.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Prepared to take responsibility for their own work and 'ownership' of the drawings produced.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and ability to create and read technical drawings.
- Reinforced concrete detailing experience preferred.
- Steelwork detailing experience preferred.
- Understanding of British/European standards relating to reinforced concrete
- Civil 3D basic knowledge.
- BIM Management preferred.
