A large traditional but progressive and diversified private estate in northern Lincolnshire seeks a skilled and motivated horticulturist to join our small team, led by the Head Gardener.The main features of this diverse position are:Fruit and vegetable production in an organic status walled kitchen garden, greenhouses, flower garden, lawn areas, woodland, lake, fountain, follies, formal hedges, churchyard, wildflower meadows, orchard, bees, hens, tennis court, outdoor swimming pool, shrubberies and arboretum trees.You will have proven gardening expertise with good communication skills, eye for, and attention to, detail, and a flexible and positive can-do attitude.You will ideally be a self-starter with a developing and widening skill base.It would be advantageous for you to hold a horticultural qualification.Able to work independently, as well as part of a team and alongside other estate departments and contractors, you will be conversant with health & safety protocols and safe working practices.Competency in machinery operations and maintenance and an interest in landscaping, design, and possibly flower arranging would be helpful.Gardens not open to the public, apart from occasional charity fund-raising days.Job Type: Full-time position.
