As a Principal Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing control systems for our diverse range of products.As a Principal Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:System Design and Development: Lead the design and development of advanced control systems for our precision instrumentation products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement in control system design.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate control systems seamlessly into overall product designs.Testing and Validation: Develop and implement rigorous testing procedures to validate the performance and reliability of control systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards.Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test procedures.Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control systems engineering and contribute to the company's knowledge base through research and development initiatives.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Expert in Control law development (LQR, MPC, PID, Adaptive Methods, etc)Dynamic System Modelling and Systems IdentificationExcellent Matlab/SimulinkMulti-body Physics ModellingEmbedded control law developmentSystems Engineering backgroundExperienced in commissioning automatic control systemsProven self-learner of new conceptsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in designing and implementing control systems for precision instrumentation or similar products.Proficiency in relevant software tools and programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++).Strong leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.Experience with industry standards and regulations related to control systems in aerospace and manufacturing is highly desirable.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing engineering challenges.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
