We provide centralised support, expertise and guidance across our UK and Group operations, continuing to build on our success and trailblazing the way to our next stage of digital growth.What you'll doWe're recruiting for an IT SOX & Compliance Specialist to join our Financial Control team, here at VodafoneThree.This team plays a key role in our 'second line of defence' for our compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulatory requirements. The purpose of this role is in the designing, implementing, and testing of IT SOX controls to ensure that IT processes are conducted with the highest levels of accuracy, integrity and assurance.As IT SOX and Compliance Specialist, you will be supporting the IT SOX and Compliance Manager in designing, implementing, and testing controls in VodafoneThree GITC processes. You will take a role in organising and leading process walkthroughs with system owners and key stakeholders to identify the risks in their processes with a goal to design efficient control structure and operating processes, including providing recommendations for improvements. As we continue to evolve our core processes, you will take a lead role in managing change and driving strategic initiatives to simplify, standardize and automate these processes and controls.Wider responsibilities will also include:
- Design, implement, and maintain a culture of effective and efficient financial IT internal control throughout the finance business process.
- Facilitate change management resulting from strategic initiatives to simplify, standardise and automate our processes
- Ensure compliance with the control framework, including Quality Assurance Reviews, Control Testing Activities, and Remediation actions
- Prepare, update and enhance the value of the SOX and control documentation and testing with a goal of increasing effectiveness and efficiencies within the processes and controls
- Works with process owners and department managers to develop, implement, monitor, and run the compliance and internal control requirements
- Assist in managing, resolving and reporting audit exceptions. Follows up on the implementation of management action plans to address any identified control gaps
- Act as subject matter expert on key IT process transformations, assess impacts resulting from changes, provide critical input into the design of new to-be processes, and ensure that changes are delivered in controlled way
- Experience in working on audit or advisory engagements over the design and implementation of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) control frameworks into IT systems.
- External/Internal Audit/SOX experience, including familiarity with IT architecture of Technology and/or Telecommunication companies
- Demonstratable experience and understanding of IT processes, policies and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in working with multiple stakeholders across different levels and able to influence people in the wider organisation
- CIA/CISA or appropriate IT audit qualifications (preferred)
