The data function is supporting several hundred analytics professionals engaged in reporting, modelling, analytics, and data manipulation. As a result, there are significant data challenges and opportunities relating to data, analytics, modelling, and machine learning. There is an opportunity to shape the BCBS data delivery strategy for WPB Risk.   • Drive the data strategy to implement consistent production of BCBS metrics across lines of business
  • Implement optimum data risk controls and governance required for data consumed by the Risk Reporting processes
  • Close engagement with risk users to identify and to remediate the data issues.
  • Close engagement with business stakeholders, demonstrating knowledge of their data and controls landscape
  • Work in close partnership with Technology, DAO, Architecture and Business teams to deliver on key outcomes
  • Work in close partnership with data risk policy stakeholders within group
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Familiarity with financial services organisations and more specifically HSBC’s structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives.
  • Experience in handling large volume of data with WPB retail products data experience is preferred
  • Experience in working with large data transformation projects is preferable.
  • Experience in the implementation of BCBS239 regulation
  • Hands on experience in data analysis is mandatory.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders/users across regions/markets.
