Sponsorship is not availableIntroductionIf you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at The Woodmill as a Senior Housekeeper.You will be an integral part of the housekeeping team at a rehabilitation service, where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.Working closely with the maintenance team you'll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.You'll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better.   • Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
  • An active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
  • Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner.
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
  • Helping create a positive culture.
  • Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
  • Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Experience of working within a care home/hospital environment
  • Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Keen to learn and improve own performance
  • A 'can-do' attitude to work
  • To prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively
  • Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • The NVQ Level 3 Supervisor qualification would be beneficial
Where you will be working:Location: Exeter Road, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 1EAThe Woodmill is a 18 bed unit creates a pathway for patients to step down through their recovery. Ivy is a 6 bed admission area and Rose is a 12 bed rehabilitation area, with the option to flex within the 12 bed area to a four bed section that can create a further step down with a separate entrance for those patients that are progressing well and are preparing for discharge to the community.The aim of the service is to support women to improve their self-worth, build a better quality of life for themselves and to equip them with the skills needed for community living and increased independence.What you will get:
