About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Associate JavaScript Engineer to join the elementsuite team—ideal for someone in the early stages of their software development career, with around 1–2 years' experience and a passion for building high-quality web applications.This role offers a great opportunity to grow your skills across the full stack while working with modern JavaScript technologies. You’ll contribute to building intuitive interfaces and backend functionality, supported by experienced developers in a collaborative, agile environment.elementsuite is rewriting the rulebook on how enterprise software is built. Our cloud-native platform powers flexible, scalable, and beautifully simple HR and workforce management solutions. This year, we joined forces with Zellis to create an AI-enabled, end-to-end HR, WFM, and Pay solution. Together, we support some of the biggest brands in the UK & Ireland, combining deep HR domain expertise with next-generation technology to reimagine the world of work: intuitive, connected, and AI-enabled.Key responsibilities in the role will include:Supporting the development of new features in line with the elementsuite roadmap.Writing clean, maintainable JavaScript code with guidance from senior developers.Building user interfaces using modern frameworks such as Vue.js (or similar).Assisting with the creation of responsive layouts using HTML5 and CSS3.Writing basic SQL queries to support application data requirements.Collaborating with team members during design discussions and code reviews.Participating in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Learning to write unit tests and contributing to code quality improvements.Developing a good understanding of how front-end and back-end systems interact.Staying curious and open to feedback while developing your technical skill set.Skills & experience
  • Around 1–2 years of experience in a front-end or full-stack JavaScript development role.
  • Familiarity with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular).
  • Some knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and the basics of responsive design.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Awareness of how APIs work and how to use them in applications.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • A keen interest in software development and a willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and proactive, with good communication skills.
