- Define and analyse customer requirements in collaboration with sales and engineering teams.
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals and tender responses.
- Support marketing initiatives, including campaigns and technical content.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline for fare collection systems to meet and exceed targets.
- Promote products and services to position for future sales opportunities.
- Manage key accounts and identify new business within the public transport sector.
- Analyse customer needs and lead the development of competitive bids and proposals.
- Develop strategic relationships with public transport operators, consultants, suppliers, and partners.
- Visit clients and stakeholders to gather market intelligence and strengthen relationships.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Provide regular market insights and contribute to product & service improvement.
- Ensure accurate CRM management and reporting, including timely submission of sales and activity updates.
- Adhere to internal governance procedures and maintain clear, professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in complex, solution-based sales environments
- Proven experience in B2B business development for technology solutions
- Strong background in customer relationship management and account growth
- Skilled in preparing and submitting proposals and public tenders
- Previous experience could include presales engineering, system operations or systems engineering ideally
- Experience in public transport, particularly fare collection systems or related payments, services or mobile app systems preferred but not essential
