We focus on design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, decommissioning and dismantling also covering logistics and documentation.As a HVAC Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with several of the below listed activities depending on the project requirements and the competences and experience,Job Description
  • Treatment of the input data for the layout engineering of the building (process & instrumentation diagrams, equipment data, cable lists, electrical load lists, etc.), analysing and verifying their technical consistency.
  • Layout engineering to improve and modify the design on the following aspects:
  • Implementing various mechanical and HVAC equipment within the building design
  • Routing HVAC ducts, pipework and electrical cable trays in the 3D model, supported by a dedicated CAD team
  • Ensuring the consistency between the process & instrumentation diagrams and the 3D model
  • Leading the production of technical documents (progress reports, status reports, equipment introduction notes, change impact analyses, design procedures).
  • Issuing layout drawings to the various teams and coordinating layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules.
  • Monitoring progress and change management:
  • Management and monitoring the modifications requested by the various engineering teams
  • Anticipating and resolving of technical open points
  • Preparation of layout engineering reviews (with all the engineering teams involved)
  • Supporting of execution design companies in the production of deliverables for manufacturing
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in software's like Navisworks, AutoCAD, PDMS and/or E3D.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of general layout rules for an industrial project.
  • Knowledge of the general operation of a nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects (in particular, aspects relating to flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures).
  • Strong Microsoft Word/Excel skills.

  • Salary/rate – depending on experience
  • Location: Bristol (Onsite)
  • 3 days on-site optional 2 days WFH
  • 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
