Company DescriptionRotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow of liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.Job DescriptionThe Network Infrastructure Engineer role is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)Job PurposeAs an Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on networking, you will play a key role in delivering the technical elements of a global Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) rollout. You will be responsible for ensuring that all locations involved have the appropriate network infrastructure in place, including broadband connectivity, Wi-Fi provision, and site-to-cloud integration. Working closely with vendors, local IT teams, and the Systems Integrator (SI) partner, you will ensure seamless connectivity across the organisation, enabling a successful D365 deployment.Responsibilities
  • Oversee the provisioning of broadband connectivity for all relevant locations globally.
  • Coordinate and arrange Wi-Fi surveys; ensure appropriate Wi-Fi infrastructure is installed and configured based on survey results.
  • Ensure the correct network connectivity (LAN/WAN/MPLS/ExpressRoute/Azure WAN/IPVPN) is delivered to each location according to project requirements.
  • Integrate on-premise networks with cloud services, including Microsoft Azure.
  • Work closely with external vendors, local IT teams, and the Systems Integrator to coordinate activities and resolve network-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
  • Provide technical guidance on network architecture, troubleshooting, and optimisation throughout the D365 rollout.
  • Monitor and validate network performance to ensure it meets service level agreements (SLAs) and project needs.
  • Support the development of network-related project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Travel to sites as required and flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including aligning with the working hours of overseas sites will be required during key project phases or deployments
QualificationsEssential
  • Proven experience in network engineering roles with responsibility for delivering enterprise-wide connectivity solutions.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with LAN, WAN, MPLS, ExpressRoute, Azure WAN, and IPVPN technologies.
  • Experience of network integration with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating Wi-Fi surveys and implementing Wi-Fi infrastructure across multiple sites.
  • Familiarity with broadband provisioning and vendor management.
  • Experience using ServiceNow for IT service management and Azure DevOps for work tracking.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities in parallel.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, including working with vendors, SI partners, and internal teams.
  • Sound understanding of security best practices in network design
Desirable
  • Experience supporting global rollouts of enterprise applications such as Microsoft D365.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN solutions and emerging network technologies.
  • Experience working within Agile project delivery frameworks.
  • Previous experience in hybrid (cloud/on-premise) network environments.
