SEN Teaching Support - SouthamptonWe are looking for Teaching Assistants to join our client schools in Southampton, supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and other Special Educational Needs (SEN).Primary & Secondary - SEN & MainstreamAcademics are seeking confident, caring, and motivated Teaching Assistants to help develop the social skills, emotional well-being, and mental health of students in our partner SEN schools. With a high demand for support staff next academic year, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals ready to start in September.Our schools provide alternative education for children with:

Social & emotional difficulties, including anxiety and school refusal due to trauma
Specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia or dyscalculia
Autism spectrum conditions and associated needs

As a Teaching Assistant / Mental Health Support Assistant, you will work alongside trained professionals, including psychologists and therapists, with opportunities to observe and learn from their practice.

Start: September 2025

Location: Southampton
Rate: From £88 per day
Focus: Restorative practice, child mental health support

Who We're Looking For:

Confident supporting children who may be disengaged, anxious, or have low self-esteem
Degree in a related field or relevant experience working with young people is preferred
Resilient, open-minded, and compassionate, able to support children with complex mental health challenges
