- Own the safety case during the design and construction phases, advising internal and external regulators and the responsible designer on its adequacy.
- Lead PCSR section development, including strategy setting, team management, and progression through the safety case lifecycle (authoring, peer review, verification, regulatory review and approval).
- Act as an intelligent customer for the safety case through undertaking technical oversight over the licensing, procurement, manufacture, construction, commission and operation phases of the station lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including internal teams and external partners, including regulator.
- Maximise the benefits of replication from Hinkley Point C to Sizewell C.
- Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or mathematics.
- Experience in the nuclear or other highly regulated industries, managing complex systems' safety documentation for regulatory compliance and approval.
- Ability to identify issues and develop solutions in the context of nuclear plant construction and operation.
- Ability to interpret complex information, set clear action plan, and lead the strategic planning of the safety case.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organisational skills.
