We’re looking for a resilient, compassionate Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision setting in Newcastle supporting students who haven’t thrived in mainstream school.This is not your average TA role. You’ll be working with young people who’ve faced real challenges—helping them re-engage with learning, manage emotions, and believe in themselves again.Your role:Supporting students with SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) needsBuilding strong, trusting relationships with young peopleManaging behaviour calmly and confidently, using positive reinforcementWorking closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to adapt learningWhat the setting offers:
