Job Title: Electrical EngineerOverviewWe are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on cutting-edge engineering projects focused on UK Engineering Design - MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing). The successful candidate will have expertise in Electrical Design, Mechanical Design, and proficiency in Revit MEP software.   • Design and develop electrical systems for MEP projects in line with UK engineering codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other multidisciplinary teams to create integrated, sustainable designs.
  • Utilize Revit MEP to develop detailed design models and produce high-quality technical drawings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, load calculations, and energy efficiency evaluations for projects.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and contractors, to communicate technical solutions effectively.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project plans as part of the design and development process.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems during project implementation.
  • Support the mentoring and development of junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in UK Engineering Design - MEP, with a strong emphasis on Electrical and Mechanical Design.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP and other engineering design tools.
  • Knowledge of local UK building standards, codes, and regulations for MEP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under tight project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A motivated, adaptive mindset with a commitment to innovation and sustainability in engineering design.
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace, valuing diverse perspectives and contributions.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in energy-efficient building systems or sustainable design.
Day-to-Day
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop and refine MEP systems for a diverse array of projects.
  • Produce and review design drawings and construction documents using Revit MEP.
  • Conduct on-site visits or virtual walk throughs to ensure project designs are effectively implemented.
  • Troubleshoot design or construction challenges and provide timely, cost-effective solutions.
  • Research and integrate new technologies and sustainable practices into projects.
  • Participate in review meetings, workshops, and client presentations.
  • Ensure high standards of accuracy and quality in technical deliverables, aligned with industry best practices.
  • Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and offering constructive feedback.
