As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of SEND children, helping them reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:1:1 Support: Provide tailored one-on-one support to SEND children, ensuring their specific needs are met and that they are fully engaged in the learning process.Inclusive Education: Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to create inclusive learning environments, adapting materials and activities to accommodate the needs of SEND students.Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assist in assessing students' progress and development, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.Behavioral Support: Implement behavior management strategies and interventions, fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans, tailoring learning objectives to meet each child's unique requirements.Personal Care: Provide personal care and support when necessary, including assistance with toileting, feeding, and mobility, adhering to school policies and procedures.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, incidents, and observations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.Professional Development: Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest techniques and strategies for working with SEND children.Health and Safety: Promote a safe and secure environment for all students, following school health and safety guidelines.Qualifications and Experience:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working one-on-one with SEND children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND conditions, strategies, and interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • A clear DBS check and relevant safeguarding training.
