The successful candidate will be expected to complete both positions highlighted below across a year,Delivering kitchen and bathroom flatpack products as part of a two-person crew to customer houses and flats.As required delivery of bulk items to customer homes using a Class 2 HIAB vehicle from Wickes stores. Single person operationThis is predominantly a Monday to Friday position utilising the Hiab Vehicle but there will be a requirement to cover Holidays / Sick on our Kitchen and Bathroom 2-man service which is a Tuesday to Saturday so planned flexibility of working days in the week is requiredBenefits include:28 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)Uniform and PPEAccess to pension schemeShare incentive planDiscounts including breakdown cover, airport parking and EE NetworkChildcare vouchersMedical cash plansKey Responsibilities:Drive Company vehicles and operate Company equipment in a safe and professional manner in accordance with Company policies, procedures and legislationComply with the vehicle security and standing procedure at all timesCarry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle, reporting any defects immediatelyReport any delivery issues or exceptions in a timely mannerOn return to site, you will report to the traffic office for full debriefThis role ability to self-manage and use initiative for solving problemsResponsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident and damage reportingExperience and QualificationsMust hold a valid in date Class 2 licenceMust hold a Valid Digital Tachograph CardFull Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experienceHIAB licence - ALLMI or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in a customer facing role would be an advantageHave a positive, flexible attitude to work.Good timekeeper, with the ability to work unsupervisedDBS check will be undertakenDue to the nature of the work this role is physically demanding, and heavy manual handling is required.
