
Mechanical Construction Manager

- Lead construction delivery across all mechanical elements of the project.
- Manage site managers and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
- Own the planning and execution of site briefings, RAMS, and putting people to work.
- Ensure adherence to programme, budget, and quality standards.
- Chair monthly progress reviews and report to the Project Manager.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Planning, Commercial, and other key project teams.
- Promote sustainability and implement environmental best practice onsite.
- Support post-completion defect resolution and maintain strong client relationships.
- Champion Zero Harm and drive continuous improvement in site safety and performance.
- Proven construction management experience in complex mechanical projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Background in managing works within live, operational environments.
- Familiarity with project management systems and digital tools (e.g. BIM 360 Field & Plan).
- SMSTS, CSCS card, First Aid, and Temporary Works Coordinator certifications.
- Knowledge of Balfour Beatty systems and procedures (desirable).
- Awareness of Lean Construction and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- 25 days paid annual leave (pro rata)
