- Lead and inspire our team of skilled professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
- Manage kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and food cost management
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve financial targets and improve overall kitchen efficiency
- Oversee quality control for all food preparation and presentation
- Participate in menu tastings, special events, and client meetings as required
- Stay abreast of current culinary trends and incorporate them into menu offerings where appropriate
- Mentor and develop junior staff members, promoting skill enhancement and career growth
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume, professional kitchen setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent culinary skills and in-depth knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation
- Strong understanding of food safety principles and relevant certifications (e.g., Level 4 Food Safety)
- Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimise kitchen efficiency
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Up-to-date knowledge of dietary requirements and food allergies
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and kitchen equipment
