- Lead the implementation and development of health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems in alignment with ISO 45001 and group requirements.
- Provide professional guidance and support to site teams, conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations to drive performance improvements.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance, escalating risks and shortfalls to senior management as necessary.
- Chair the site Health & Safety Committee and represent the site at the UK Health & Safety Committee Forum.
- Support outage planning and execution, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, permits, and risk assessments.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum); membership of a recognised professional body preferred.
- Proven experience in health and safety management, ideally within the Energy from Waste, Biomass, or wider power generation sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation, ISO standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrable skills in incident investigation, audit processes, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Competitive salary in the range of £40,000 - £46,000 (DOE).
