
Vice President, Featurespace – Risk & Identity Solutions (RaIS)

- Develop, implement, and oversee strategic plans for the Featurespace technology team, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge payment risk and fraud management systems, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and scalable.
- Continually assess the effectiveness of the existing systems and processes, making improvements or changes where necessary.
- Collaborate with the Product teams to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements of existing products to meet our customers’ requirements and provide Visa with a competitive edge.
- Lead and manage a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. This includes hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in payment authentication and identity management, integrating them into the company's strategies and operations where beneficial.
- Understand the cost of delivery and effectively estimate project costs for large, complex cross-functional projects.
- Drive development of projects and lead teams across multiple geographical locations.
- Provide leadership to teams across risk domains, establish high standards and best engineering practices.
- Drive adoption and innovation of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Demonstrate thought leadership through presentations and teaching across Visa. Represent Visa as a technical advisor or spokesperson on external activities, particularly client engagement.
- Champion a culture of innovation, in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security and reliability. Understanding and use of GenAI technologies is a must.
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhDPreferred Qualifications
- 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
- Recent coding experience: the candidate must be “hands-on” with the ability to review code and engage with technical details directly.
- Experience with building AI-powered decisioning solutions.
- Experience with developing Risk products is a plus.
- Experience leading large, global technology teams as well as a broad software engineering and Generative AI leadership background
- Experience working in Agile framework and comfortable working in a matrixed organization.
- Strong commercial acumen to forecast business trends and translate into agile technology solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable, secure and high quality mobile and web applications preferably in the payments, fintech or loyalty domains.
- Expertise in building scalable cloud-based services.
- Contributions across a broad technical range, including Systems Architecture, product development and R&D experience leading to successful, large scale product implementations.
- Experience in M&A (evaluation, integration, etc.)
- Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and strategies that have significantly improved revenue generating products and their profitability.
- Strong knowledge of emerging technology trends, industry standards, and best practices in Software Engineering and in the field of risk and fraud management.
- Experience in managing and optimizing geographically dispersed cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
